GRETCHEN SAYS:
1. Tom Hardy is perfect as Harry.
2. Double-crosses and triple-crosses.
3. Shakespearean/Game of Thrones-type characters.
4. The rest of the cast: Pierce Brosnan (Conrad), Helen Mirren (Maeve), Paddy Considine (Kevin), Joanne Froggatt (Jan), Geoff Bell, and many, many others.
5. Guy Ritchie produced the show and directed the first two episodes.
6. It was made to emulate Taylor Sheridan shows like “Yellowstone.”
7. Created as a concept for pre-Ray Donovan – originally titled: “The Donovans.”
8. Interesting depiction of gangsters’ family dysfunction.
9. Effectively contrasts honor and dishonor among thieves.
10. Set-up for Season Two looks very, very promising.

GEOFF SAYS:
Pierce Brosnan acts convincingly against type — far from James Bond in language, character, and state of his body.
Makes you think hard between episodes. Super thought-provoking.
Skillfully uses “the C-word” about 10 times an episode. And you like it.
Feels like Game of Thrones meets Downton Abbey (including common actors, actually).
Portrays male beard-stubble in the best light possible. Every badass dude has a micro-beard.
Showcases some sweet rides and fine homes in London.
Has a great opening song and solid music soundtrack.
Is one of the only shows done by MTV I think actually succeeds.
You root for bad guys and then worse guys.
Tom Hardy, Tom Hardy, Tom Hardy.

My husband and I enjoyed this immensely! We couldn’t wait for the next episode to come out. Great cast and I love the Gaelic roots! We are anxiously awaiting season 2.
I agree... this reminds me to finish watching it! I started it but never finished but was enjoying it!
